Softball's White Collects All-Region Honor

RALEIGH, N.C. - Senior softball standout Amanda White collected Division III All-Atlantic Region second team honors as announced Monday from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. She was recognized as a utility player as she split her time among short stop, second base and pitcher. Across all of the NCAA Division III, White also ranks first nationally with a .990 slugging percentage.
White completed her four-years atop the Meredith career records in a variety of categories. She hit three home runs in her final appearance this season to set a new record with 25 home runs. White also ranks as the all-time career leader with a .748 slugging percentage, 440 at-bats, 121 runs scored, 189 hits, 47 doubles, nine triples, 119 runs batted in, 329 total bases, 49 base on balls and five sacrifice flies.
