White Named NCAA Statistical Champion

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Standout softball player Amanda White continues to earn well-deserved recognition for her successful four-year career at Meredith College. White concluded her career last spring atop the NCAA Division III softball statistics with a .990 slugging percentage and was named the 2014-15 statistical champion in the category as announced Tuesday from the national association.
White currently leads Meredith all-time in 11 career categories, including 25 home runs and 189 hits. She batted .495 this spring, collecting nine homers, 16 doubles and 39 RBI in her final season with the Avenging Angels. She collected numerous athletic honors during her time at Meredith, including 2014 USA South Player of the Year, All-Region, All-State, and All-Conference awards.
She plans to return to Meredith this fall to complete a semester of student teaching before pursuing her career in secondary education
